Pearl Harbor.

I was told a family member that was at Pearl Harbor had taken these in WWII, but have recently been informed by a member here that it isn't so because they appear in history books, and a snopes article.

So the photos are real, but the back story must not be.

That's what I was to understand... but I was also informed by someone here on dA that there was no way a family member of mine, who was a photographer in the Navy before, and during WWII could have taken the photos either, because this person has seen the photos in history books... apparently, people who take photos that end up in history books don't have any family.

Ya want to know something incredible? A friend of mine dove off the U.S.S. Nevanda while she was making a run for it through all the hell and chaos. I had a grandfather eho was on the doomed Arizona who saw and video taped the fatal bomb through thee forward magazine that sunt the ship. I met the Japanese pilot who dropped the fatal bomb. When I mentioned the subject, he wept.....

Years ago I was living in a neighborhood where there was this one armed Japanese man who would walk by every day... always at about the same time, walking down to the lake, and back every evening...

So one day I was at the lake and he was there, and we started talking... he was a Japanese pilot in WWII... he lost his arm in the war... he was quite fascinating, and interesting to talk to... I wish I could remember everything he had said... it was an enlightening experience to be sure.
